About Gulf Deck
No developer or brokerage payment has ever changed what we publish, is changing it now, or ever will — full stop. Sponsored placements, when they exist, are clearly labeled as sponsored and pay only for reach, never for editorial judgment.
Nearly everyone writing about Gulf real estate for a North American audience is paid by the market they're describing. Developer marketing dressed as journalism, broker newsletters dressed as advice, lifestyle accounts paid to post — the incentive is always the same: get you to buy. That doesn't make the information false. It makes it impossible to fully trust.
What we hold
No equity tied to any property, developer, or brokerage we cover, across every Gulf Deck channel. If a placement is ever sponsored, it's labelled sponsored and never affects what we report.
We aim to use reliable public records, regulator information, market data and other credible sources wherever available. Cost estimates reflect the broader buying process—not just the headline price—and currency conversions are dated so readers can see when the figures were calculated. Where information is incomplete or based on estimates, we’ll make that clear.
What we won't do
We won’t present an unsourced number as verified. Where information is incomplete, uncertain, or needs deeper verification, we’ll clearly flag it for readers.
Six things, tracked every week:
Market Data
Developer Track Records
Legal & Tax Mechanics
FX & Currency Exposure
Financing & Mortgages
Risk & Red Flags
Our core reporting — including market data, developer track records, and practical risk insights — is free to read each week, with no paywall for now. As the Gulf Deck community grows, we’ll introduce optional webinars, events, and deeper resources for readers who want to explore further. Developers and brokerages may also be able to sponsor opportunities to reach our audience, but our editorial coverage will always remain independent.
Gulf Deck is written for a focused audience: Canadian and North American investors who are seriously evaluating Gulf real estate. It is not designed as a general property publication or a lifestyle platform.
Developers, brokerages, and other industry partners are welcome to reach this audience through clearly identified sponsorship and partnership opportunities. Editorial standards remain independent and consistent, regardless of commercial relationships.
